On Independence Day, We Must Not Take Independence for Granted….
On Independence Day we need to celebrate the miracle of American independence. We need to remember that there are true threats to our nation both at home and abroad. We need to dedicate ourselves to ensuring that future generations will be able to celebrate Independence Day.
And on our Independence Day, we need to defend the independence of our front-line ally Israel.
The Middle East is in turmoil, again. As we write this, Egypt and Syria are melting down. These two countries border Israel. And these once quiet borders are quiet no more.
The threats to Israel’s independence have never been greater. And those that threaten Israel have us in their sights as well.
The brave young men and women who are standing on the front lines defending Israel are really defending us- America – from those who seek to destroy us both.
So on this 4th of July, we Praise God for the men and women of our military and the IDF as they defend us against common enemies and fight for our freedom.
We pray that you have a blessed and meaningful 4th of July. May we all take time to remember the true meaning of our Independence Day.
Please use the social media buttons below to SHARE and express your appreciation to our military for keeping us safe and free.
Today is Yom Yerushalayim (Jerusalem Day). Jerusalem Day is the 46th anniversary of the liberation and unification of Jerusalem in the Six-Day War.
In honor of Jerusalem Day we ask that you join us in PRAYING for the peace of Jerusalem.
Psalm 122- A song of ascents. Of David.
I rejoiced with those who said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the Lord.”
Our feet are standing
in your gates, Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is built like a city
that is closely compacted together.
That is where the tribes go up—
the tribes of the Lord—
to praise the name of the Lord
according to the statute given to Israel.
There stand the thrones for judgment,
the thrones of the house of David.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May those who love you be secure.
May there be peace within your walls
and security within your citadels.”
For the sake of my family and friends,
I will say, “Peace be within you.”
For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will seek your prosperity.
Please join us in praying for those affected by these horrific and senseless acts in Boston. This not only affects America, but the nations of the world. May God surround these families with His presence and His peace, and may He help us to bring those responsible to quick justice
Father God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, we call upon you to intervene, protect and provide for the millions of Americans affected by hurricane Sandy. We humbly ask that you comfort those who mourn for their loved ones who are injured or who have lost their lives because of this devastation. May Your mercy and grace bring needed consolation to America as we recover from this mass destruction.
We give praise and thanks to You Lord, for it is You, the God of all grace and mercy, who will ultimately bring healing, restoration and encouragement to those seeking to rebuild their lives. Amen
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
