Army says it targeted terror cell planning to fire rockets at Israel Saturday evening; sources in Gaza say two missiles hit motorcycle, two Palestinians lightly wounded

The Air Force fired at a Gaza terror cell east of Rafah planning to fire rockets at Israel, IDF officials said Saturday evening.

The identity of the wounded was not immediately clear. A spokesman for Gaza’s emergency services said the two were taken to a Rafah City hospital for treatment.

Palestinian sources also reported lively traffic of Israeli aircraft above the area.

The military wings of the Islamic Jihad and of the Popular Resistance Committees rushed to issue a statement Saturday accusing Israel of blatantly violating the lull in the area. Read more.
