SAN ANTONIO – On Thursday, Christians United for Israel (CUFI), the nation’s largest pro-Israel organization, released a statement applauding the introduction of legislation in Nevada (SB 26) which seeks to ensure the state is not engaging with entities that boycott, divest from or sanction (BDS) the state of Israel:
Anti-BDS legislation is spreading like wildfire across the country because the American people are uninterested in supporting companies that back this hateful, anti-Semitic movement. We applaud Lt. Gov. Mark Hutchison’s resolute leadership on this issue and are grateful for the strong cadre of CUFI lay leaders in Nevada who have worked tirelessly to ensure Nevada’s policies reflect the peoples’ will. We look forward to this legislation’s swift passage.
With more than 3.2 million members, Christians United for Israel is the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States and one of the leading Christian grassroots movements in the world. CUFI spans all fifty states and reaches millions with its message. Each year CUFI holds hundreds of pro-Israel events in cities around the country. And each July, thousands of pro-Israel Christians gather in Washington, D.C. to participate in the CUFI Washington Summit and make their voices heard in support of Israel and the Jewish people.
